It was the PERFECT day for this photoshoot! We never have enough days like this here in Utah. What made it even better, was spending time with this wonderful family - who also happen to be awesome relatives of mine!
Thanks Steve and Tammy for a wonderful time! I had LOTS of fun photographing your beautiful family!
Karen, the first few family shots are combined images - 3 total, in fact.
First of all, for the water effect, I did a very slow shutter speed and high aperature.
Water shot: ISO 200 F/22 SS 1/8 sec Manual Mode Nikon D300, 24-70mm 2.8
The second shot was taken to properly expose for the bridge that was in the sunlight to avoid blowout. Not sure if you'd care for the settings there or not?
And finally, I took the shot of the family and then merged all 3 exposures together. Yes, it took a lot of work, but it was well worth it! =)
Reserve your newborn session now to be assured of getting an appointment. Newborns photograph best in the firstfour to ten days of life, so be sure to call as soon as possible to book your special session.
Custom photography is not a "point and shoot" experience. I take the time to do a lot of preparation, planning, and post processing for your special shoot.
I use all natural lighting, which flatters newborns and babies nicely. The session will take place in the room with the largest windows, or in rooms we can use in the images, such as the baby's room. Weather permitting, outdoor newborn sessions can be done!
Newborn sessions can last anywhere from 2-4 hours. It's best not to rush the session, as newborns need time for feedings, diaper changes and to simply be pampered! The baby will photograph best when he/she is happy and content!
Most other sessions take approximately 1-2 hours.
****Proofs will be available to view and order approximately 1 week after your shoot.*****
Beautiful family and location. Your color is great Lisa!
